Dogs and cats hoping for homes in northern and central New Jersey.
Kitten season has begun, and rescue groups and shelters throughout New Jersey are dealing with the annual influx of felines.
No cat jokes or plays on words here; it's always an important issue.
Susan Gordon, vice president of the Friends of Randolph Animal Pound, gave us a lighthearted but meaningful view in a poem she sent in:
Kittens, Kittens Everywhere...
Under porches, on the stair.
Kittens hiding in the woods
Behind the stores and under hoods.
Kittens in the strangest places
With such precious, furry faces.
So if you have a home to share,
These little ones have love to spare.
Please consider an adoption.
It really is the kindest option!
More photos of adoptable pets can be seen here and here.
