Leonard Davis had been charged with a second-degree charge of sexual assault.
TRENTON -- A grand jury declined to indict a Trenton firefighter on a sexual assault charge and prosecutors dropped the case, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said.
Leonard Davis, 47, of Trenton, was arrested by Mount Laurel police on March 16 in connection with an encounter with a woman at a hotel there in February, officials previously said.
Davis had been charged with a second-degree charge of sexual assault.
On May 3, the case was presented to a Burlington County grand jury, which did not indict him, and the charge was dropped, the prosecutor's office said.
Davis had posted $10,000 bail shortly after his arrest. He is a 21-year city firefighter currently assigned to Engine Co. 8.
