This morning's ceremony starts at 9:30 a.m.
LAWRENCE -- Police are warning motorists that they should expect heavy traffic congestion in Lawrence during Rider University's undergraduate commencement Friday morning.
The ceremony starts at 9:30 a.m. and is expected to last an hour and a half. Attendees are advised to arrive at least an hour before the start of the ceremony.
The campus is off of Exit 7 on Interstate 95 and the main entrance sits on Route 206.
Rider is working closely with Lawrence police and the Mercer County Fire Police as part of its safety efforts. They will monitor the ceremonies, assist with traffic and parking and be a presence on campus along with the school's public safety department.
Friday marks the university's 151st undergraduate commencement ceremony and the first under new President Gregory Dell'Omo.
The Class of 2016 includes more than 800 students who come from 24 states and 10 countries.
