Police say he stole electronics and $2,000 worth of jewelry from a Trenton home in December
TRENTON -- A Trenton man who police say ransacked a home in December is now facing burglary and theft charges.
Christopher Payano, 20, was arrested at 9:55 a.m. Tuesday on the 900 block of Beatty Street by members of the Violent Crimes and Warrant Unit, police Lt. Stephen Varn said.
On Dec. 8, police had responded to the 100 block of Division Street after a family came home to find that their house had been ransacked. Electronics and about $2,000 worth of jewelry had been reported stolen, Varn said.
The ensuing investigation resulted in a warrant being issued for Payano's arrest. He was also charged Tuesday with hindering apprehension.
