TRENTON - Residents will get a chance to get rid of unused, expired and unwanted prescription drugs this weekend, no questions asked.
Police departments across the county are participating in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"(It's) an opportunity for individuals and families to safely and responsibly remove unwanted prescription drugs from their household," Mercer County Sheriff John Kemler said in a statement. "The proper disposal of unwanted prescription drugs can prevent experimentation, chronic addiction, accidental overdose and even death."
