TRENTON -- Patrol officers arrested four suspects shortly after police received several calls that a man was being beaten at a city intersection Monday night, police said.
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Stockton and East Street streets at about 9:35 p.m. Monday and found a 52-year-old city man suffering significant injuries, police spokesman Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The man was taken to a city hospital with fractured ribs and a broken nose and cheek.
Officers received information on the scene that two males and two females assaulted and robbed the victim, Varn said.
Moments later, Officers Yusuf Addar and Brenna Grant located and detained Malcom Green, 25, Darren Picott, 23, Najih Jones, 18 and Angel Bernard, 32, in the 100 block of North Broad Street.
After an investigation by patrol officers, the four were each charged with robbery and aggravated assault, Varn said.
