Police were searching for a man who fired a gun into a group of people Saturday evening
TRENTON - Police are searching for a man who fired a gun into a group of people Saturday night, leaving one victim with gunshot wounds to both of his legs, police said Sunday.
Officers responded to the 500 block of Clinton Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Saturday after a report of shots fired, but did not find anyone at the scene.
A short time later a man came into the Capital Health Regional Medical Center, suffering a gunshot wound to each leg, police said. He told investigators that he was standing on Clinton avenue with three other people Saturday when the suspect came up and got into an argument with someone else in the group.
The suspect pulled out a gun and fired shots, hitting the victim in both legs, he told investigators.
Police were searching for the suspect Sunday afternoon and described the shooter as a black man 18-20-years-old.
