Woman injured when truck strikes her motorcycle

Motorcyclist Cheri Waite-Thomas was struck at about 1:20 p.m. Monday on Nottingham Way.

HAMILTON -- A Hamilton woman was injured Monday when her motorcycle was struck by a water delivery truck, police said.

Cheri Waite-Thomas, 42, was struck at about 1:20 p.m. when a truck driven by James Zaborney, 46, of Jackson was attempting to make a left from westbound Nottingham Way to Burtis Avenue, police said.

Waite-Thomas was riding east on Nottingham Way. She was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton for treatment.

Nottingham Way was closed until about 3 p.m. in the area Monday for investigation.

The exact cause of the crash is under investigation by Officer Devin Hendricksen and anyone with information about it can contact him at the Hamilton police traffic unit at 609-581-4024.
