Alexander Skroumbelos, 35, died at 4 p.m. Friday in a Bucks County hospital, Falls Township police said.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A Trenton man died Friday evening from injuries he suffered this past Sunday in a car crash on Route 1 that also killed a couple from Bensalem.

Alexander Skroumbelos, 35, died at 4 p.m. Friday in a Bucks County hospital, Falls Township police said. Skroumbelos was a barber, his Facebook page said.

Police have said his vehicle was traveling on the wrong side of the highway.

The crash also killed couple David Sochalski, 30, and Carmen Cedeno, 42, who leave behind a son, Garrison, who turns 2 next month.

Sochalski was a mechanic in Rider University's facilities management department. Sochalski's mother, Michele, is the business coordinator in Rider's Office of Information Technology.

Cedeno's brother, Luis Mendez, who was in the rear seat of the vehicle, was also seriously injured.

He's an employee of Cushman and Wakefield and worked at Rider's Westminster Choir College campus in Princeton. His condition was not known Saturday.

Sochalski was traveling southbound on Route 1 in Falls early Sunday when his car was hit head-on by Skroumbelos' vehicle, which was driving north in the southbound lanes, reports have said.

Sochalski's obituary said he was a lifetime resident of Lower Bucks County and followed in his father's footsteps as an established HVAC mechanic employed at Rider. An avid fisherman and hunter, he loved the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cedeno's obituary lists her as Carmen Zoveida Mendez, and said the native of Puerto Rico was working as a chef at Newtown Friends Village, where she was employed for many years.

Carmen loved hot rods, sports cars and music, and will be lovingly remembered as the "tiny dancer," it says.

Both obituaries say the couple had huge hearts and would do anything to help whenever they saw a need.

Rider's facilities management department created a GoFundMe in Sochalski's name to support his family.
