TRENTON -The man who was shot in Trenton Wednesday afternoon was identified as 25-year-old man from Morrisville, Pa., who was in Trenton to buy drugs when he was critically injured, police said.
The man was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He received emergency surgery and remained hospitalized in critical but stable condition Thursday, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The man drove into Trenton to buy drugs and met two men on White Street near Church Street, who got into his car - one in the front and one in the back, Varn said.

Once inside, the man in front pointed a gun at the Morrisville man and the two demanded his car, a black Kia. The Morrisville man refused and the man in the front seat shot him, Varn said.
Police are still looking for the shooter and his accomplice, Varn said.
The Morrisville man was the 9th victim of eight non-fatal shootings this month. Elliot Simon Jr., a 52-year-old Trenton man, also was shot to death on Friday, the fourth homicide in Trenton this year.
