The victim was taken to the hospital after being shot in the stomach
TRENTON -- Police say a man was rushed to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after being shot in the stomach in the city's West Ward.
Police were alerted to the shooting on the corner of Church and White streets at 3:19 p.m. They believe that two shooters may have been involved, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The department's Shooting Response Team is investigating. At the scene, a pair of sandals were on the ground outside a black car with New York license plates.
The victim was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.
No other information was immediately available.
This month alone, there have been seven nonfatal shootings and one homicide.
