Former President of the Princeton Area Community Foundation leader Nancy Kieling joins the Grounds For Sculpture board.

HAMILTON -- Nancy Kieling, who retired in 2014 from the Princeton Area Community Foundation, is joining the board of trustees at Grounds For Sculpture, the organization announced.

Grounds For Sculpture touted Kieling's 20-plus years with the Princeton foundation, saying she grew the foundation and designed its grant making and scholarship programs - where funds now exceed $10 million per year.

"I am so pleased to welcome Nancy to the Board of Grounds For Sculpture," Gary Garrido Schneider, the 42-acre sculpture park and museum's executive director, said. "She embodies the spirit of the community and brings leadership, expertise and energy to the table. The majority of her career has been dedicated to helping nonprofit boards and staff build robust organizations."

Schneider said the sculpture garden is "fortunate" to have her as a board member as "we continue to grow as a strong, sustainable organization that serves as a resource and asset for the community."

Before working with the Princeton Area Community Foundation, Kieling was a corporate lending officer for the Bank of New York's Communications, Entertainment and Publishing division. She also was a regional director for Princeton University's Office of Undergraduate Admission, Grounds For Sculpture said.

"As a member and ardent admirer of Grounds for Sculpture, I am delighted to join its talented board at this most interesting time of growth," Kieling said. "I greatly admire the board and staff leadership and look forward to supporting them."

Kieling joins a 16-staff board which includes President Eric Ryan and fellow member Gordon Gund.

"Nancy Kierling is a great addition to our board with the experience she has had in helping to develop and grow many not-for-profits in the Mercer County Area," Gund said. "Grounds For Sculpture is very fortunate to have her as a trustee."

Kieling "has received numerous awards" and served as the secretary of the Princeton Regional Chapter of Commerce and Chair of the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers, Grounds for Sculpture states.

Kieling graduated from the University of Wisconsin with her Bachelor's in History and German. She earned her Master of Education in Higher Education from Old Dominion University in Virginia, Grounds For Sculpture said.
