13-year-old Pennsylvania boy struck by car in Hamilton

The Bensalem resident was struck Sunday on South Broad Street near Chambers Street.

HAMILTON -- A 13-year-old Bensalem, Pa. boy was struck by a car on South Broad Street Sunday evening, Hamilton police said Monday.

The boy was struck at about 6:30 p.m. near the street's intersection with Chambers Street, police said.

Police did not identify the boy.

He was struck by a 2011 Mercedes Benz driven by a 20-year-old Hamilton man, who police also did not identify.

The boy was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton. His condition was not known Monday. The driver was not injured.

Hamilton police shut down southbound South Broad Street between Harrison Avenue and Chambers Street until about 9:30 p.m. Sunday for an investigation.

Officer Jose Anaya from the Hamilton police traffic unit is investigating and police ask any witnesses to contact the unit at 609-581-4024.
