TRENTON -- A Trenton firefighter was arrested recently on a sexual assault charge in connection with an encounter with a woman at a Mount Laurel hotel last month, officials said.
Leonard Davis, 47, of Commonwealth Avenue in Trenton was arrested by Mount Laurel police on March 16 and charged with sexual assault, a second-degree felony, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said.
The incident occurred at the Hilton Garden Inn on Feb. 28, the prosecutor's office said.
No other information about the case was made public by authorities.
Davis posted $10,000 bail shortly after his arrest, officials said.
Trenton Fire Director Qareeb Bashir declined to comment Wednesday about Davis.
Davis is a 21-year city firefighter currently assigned to Engine Co. 8.
