Cassandra Phillips, 39, was jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail after stabbing another woman in the head with a screwdriver, police said.
TRENTON - A Trenton woman was arrested Monday after stabbing another woman several times in the head with a screwdriver, police said.
Cassandra Phillips, 39, was charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses after she stabbed a 36-year-old woman seven times in the head, once in the shoulder and once in the hand during a fight on the around 5 p.m., Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The woman was taken Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton and treated for her injuries. She was later released, Varn said.
The two women had a long-running dispute that turned violent when they met on the 200 block of Perry Street, Varn said.
Phillips was jailed in lieu of$15,000 bail, according to police records.
