Man accused of leaving prescription pills stuffed in a doughnut as 'lunch' for a high school student. Both are charged
BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP - A doughnut stuffed with six Xanax pills and left at Bordentown Regional High School's main office as lunch for a senior student led to the arrest of two men on drug charges, police said.
Brian Perry Jr., 21, of Mount Holly, is accused of leaving the doughnut in a paper bag at the school's main office on Wednesday, police said. He told school officials he was dropping the bag off as lunch for Ilker Ceylan, 18, of Bordentown Township, a senior student at the school, police said.
School officials were suspicious, searched the bag and found a small plastic baggie with the pills concealed in the doughnut's center hole, police said.
Perry was arrested on drug possession and distribution charges. He was released after posting $2,500 bail, police said.
Ceylan was arrested during a traffic stop Sunday. At the time of his arrest, police found him with a jar of marijuana. He was charged with drug possession and distribution charges and faces and additional charge for marijuana possession, police said.
"School officials should be commended for their quick actions which prevented these dangerous substances from being smuggled into the school," police Chief Frank Nucera Jr. said. "These arrests are a perfect example of the strong partnership between the members of the Police Department and the staff of the Bordentown Regional School District."
