3 men accused of sexually assaulting teen plead to endangering charge

TRENTON - Three men initially accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl they met online last year pleaded guilty to an endangerment charge for giving her marijuana and were sentenced to probation Friday.

Brian Miller, 20, Daniel McIntosh, 22, and Brandon Brantley, 19, recently pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a minor as part of a plea deal, according to Mercer County prosecutors.

They were each sentenced to probation Friday by Superior Court Judge Robert Billmeier.

McIntosh was given a four-year probation term, Miller a two-year term and Brantley - who also spent the longest amount of time in jail after the arrest - received one year of probation.

The three young men were initially accused of sexually assaulting the girl at a location in Ewing, while in a car, in March 2015. They made contact with the victim prior through social media, Mercer County Assistant Prosecutor Katie Magee said.

During the encounter in the car, the three gave the girl marijuana, Magee said.

The 14-year-old told later told her parents about the incident and they alerted police, who arrested the three men in early April on sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a minor charges, Magee said.

Prosecutors offered the men a plea deal and each of the three agreed to plead guilty to third-degree endangering charge for providing the minor with marijuana.
