A shooting was reported on the 200 block of Prospect Street, about a block away from an elementary school
TRENTON - Police are reviewing surveillance video in hopes of catching those responsible for a shooting about a block away from an elementary school Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
Police were called to the 200 block of Prospect Street, between East Stuyvesant and Rutherford avenues around 2:20 p.m. on a report of gunfire in the area, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
Detectives found a bullet hole in the door of a building on the first block of Prospect Street but found no victims nor suspects, Varn said.
The shooting took place about a block from B.C. Gregory Elementary School, about an hour before regular school dismissal at 3:15 p.m.
The shooting response team is investigating, Varn said.
