Today's letters: why Yaede deserves to be reelected & who Princeton voters should vote for
With the summer coming to an end and the election season heating up one thing is certain, Mayor Yaede deserves to be reelected in Nov. to a four-year term as Mayor of Hamilton Township. The Mayor is not your typical politician she is a public servant that understands that the needs of the residents of Hamilton come foremost and that she works for the people of Hamilton. The Mayor has done a great job keeping taxes stable, stimulating economic growth through a partnership with the business community, the office of economic development and the Hamilton Economic Development Advisory Commission.
Hamilton has done a great job maintaining and upgrading its infrastructure which includes, roads, bridges, sewer lines though out the township which is very important to attract new businesses to the township and expand the current tax base. The Mayor has made public safety her number one priority by keeping moral high at the Hamilton Police Department by promoting well deserving police officers, and making sure they have the best equipment to do their jobs. In my opinion the Hamilton Police are the best trained and the finest law enforcement agency in New Jersey.
In closing I would like to say the Mayor has showed great leadership during major health crises and has surrounded herself with an experienced team of top notch directors and should be reelected in Nov as Mayor of Hamilton Township.

As the election season gets underway, I want to remind Princeton voters that this year we have the opportunity to unseat our two Republican state assembly representatives by voting for Democratic candidates Maureen Vella and Andrew Zwicker. Princeton and the rest of the 16th legislative district deserve representation that reflects our values, not those of a right-wing governor.
Jack Ciattarelli and Donna Simon have a 100% voting record with Chris Christie. They have supported Christie in cutting women's health funding, blocking corruption reform at the Port Authority, and preventing property tax relief for struggling homeowners after Hurricane Sandy.
Andrew Zwicker, as a Princeton University scientist, brings his experience of relying on evidence, not political ideology or rhetoric, in making decisions. Maureen Vella as a former judge looks at all sides of an issue before making a decision. Princeton deserves representatives who are independent thinkers.
I urge residents to mark their calendars for November 3rd and to vote for Zwicker and Vella for Assembly.
