All were expected to recover from their injures, police said
TRENTON - Five people were shot by a gunman who opened fire on a group of people outside a Trenton apartment building early Friday, police said.
An argument involving several women around 2:20 a.m. on the first block of Oliver Street preceded the shooting, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
A dark-colored car pulled up to the apartment building where several people were gathered and a man got out of the car and began shooting, Varn said.
There may have been another person inside the car, Varn said.
Those injured include a 44-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest, a 41-year-old man hit in the back, a 24-year-old woman hit in the shoulder, a 44-year-old woman hit in the leg, and a 22-year-old woman grazed by a bullet, Varn said.
They were taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton. All were expected to recover from their wounds, Varn said.
No suspect description was immediately available and no arrests have been made, Varn said.
The shooting response team is investigating, Varn said.
