HAMILTON -- Detectives are investigating the theft of $80,000 worth of guitars, amplifiers and other music items connected to the Music Box on Quakerbridge Road, police said.

Times of Trenton file photo.Russo posted a message on his store's Facebook page about the thefts: "Dear friends, family and fellow musicians. I have recently had a major disaster. A bunch of my classic vintage instruments and amps have been stolen. I will be posting the items that were taken. If you see any of these instruments, please let me know."
The post also urged people to take photos and serial numbers of their items in case they are victims of theft as well. "It is VERY important for you to have all of the documentation. Save your receipts along with the pictures and serial number. Be sure to keep them in a safe place," the post says.
