A 25-year-old man was taken into emergency surgery after being shot in both legs Monday night, police said
TRENTON - A Trenton man was taken into emergency surgery for gunshot wounds he received in the city's West Ward, police said.
A 25-year-old man was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton with gunshot wounds to each of his legs. He was taken to emergency surgery, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
It was unclear how the man got to the hospital. Police were informed of the shooting on Stuyvesant Avenue by hospital staff. Police were unable to interview the man, who was already in surgery around 7:30 p.m., Varn said.
The Shooting Response Team found blood on the 1100 block of Stuyvesant Avenue and are investigating, Varn said.
