The three towns operate the Union Fire Co., Pennington Fire Co., Hopewell Fire Dept. and Hopewell Valley Emergency Services.
Hopewell Township Fire District
Voters approved the budget 116 to 80.
The 2016 budget is $3,782,392, of which $3,342,774 will be raised by taxes.
The question asking if the district should purchase a replacement rescue fire truck - not to exceed $675,000 for use by the district as well as Hopewell Borough - passed 116 to 81.
Michael Cseremsak and Timothy M. Lynch were elected to three-year terms as fire commissioners.
Hopewell Borough Fire District
Voters approved the budget 45 to 1.
The 2016 budget is $526,895 with $185,767 raised by taxes.
Voters also approved - similar to Hopewell Township's district - a question authorizing the purchase a rescue fire truck at a purchase price not to exceed $675,000. The referendum passed 44 to 1.
C. Schuyler Morehouse was elected to a three-year term as commissioner 45 to 0.
Gregory S. Davies was elected to a one-year unexpired term 43 to 0.
Pennington Fire District
Voters approved the budget 24 to 1.
The 2016 budget is $470,849 with $200,404 raised by taxes.
William Naylor and Thomas J. Timperman were elected with 23 votes each for two, three-year terms as commissioner.
Eugene Schooley was also elected with 23 votes for a two-year term.
