A fight between two men leaves one headed to emergency surgery for a broken leg and another to Police HQ on assault charges
TRENTON -- Two Trenton men got in a fight over accusations of car thievery, leaving one charged with aggravated assault and the other hospitalized with a compound leg fracture, police said Monday.
Police said Monday that Albert Cunningham, 27, went to the house of a 26-year-old man around 5:30 p.m. Friday and accused the man of breaking into his car, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The two fought outside the house, on the first block of Brown Street. During the fight, the man suffered a compound fracture to his lower leg, Varn said.
Officers on patrol in the area notice the man, and an ambulance took him to Captial Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he had emergency surgery and was admitted for observation, Varn said.
Cunningham was charged and released, according to police records.
