TRENTON - Trenton Police are looking for three men who robbed three others early Monday morning and shooting one in the stomach, police said.
File photo of a Trenton Police vehicle (Michael Mancuso | The Times of Trenton) A 39-year-old man on Monday was recovering from emergency surgery after he was shot in the stomach during a robbery on the 700 block of Brunswick Avenue around 2:10 a.m., Lt. Stephen Varn said.
Three men dressed all in black approached three others who had just gotten out of a car. One man had his wallet stolen. Another had his wallet and cell phone taken, Varn said.
As the robbers left, one of them pulled a gun and began shooting. Only one person was injured. The man who was shot was driven to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton by the other two victims - a 33 year old man and a 37 year old man, Varn said.
The gunshot victim was taken into emergency surgery and admitted for observation, Varn said.
The Shooting Repsonse Team is investigating, Varn said.
