HAMILTON - Several people were displaced from a house on Annabelle Avenue after a 2-alarm fire ripped through the home Friday afternoon, authorities said.
No one was injured in the fire, which started around 12:40 p.m., Hamilton Fire Chief Richard Kraemer said.
It was not immediately clear if the Red Cross was assisting the residents of the house, which was left uninhabitable.
Several people, it was unclear how many, had evacuated the house before firefighters arrived, Kraemer said.

The fire appears to have started in the basement, Kraemer said, but rose through three floors of the house. The fire was contained and never threatened surrounding homes, firefighters said.
Firefighters had the fire under control around 1:20 p.m.
The cause is under investigation by the Mercer County Fire Marshal's Office.
