Police say the victim may have been followed to his home following a business trip.
LOWER MAKEFIELD, Pa. -- Police are searching for a male who assaulted and attempted to rob a resident at gunpoint in the Yardley Hunt neighborhood Thursday, Lower Makefield police said.
Police say the man returned home from a business trip at about 3:15 a.m. Thursday and was confronted by a male who rushed inside his garage with a handgun.
The victim, a 64-year-old man from Lexington Drive, told police he fought the gunman off, but not before the robber struck him in the head with the gun, police said.
The robber ran away and entered a waiting vehicle, which may have been operated by a second male.
The victim was not seriously injured in the scuffle. He told police he might have been followed to his home following his business trip.
The gunman is described as being short, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and wore a hooded sweatshirt.
