Police looking for gunman who shot 24-year-old in buttocks Tuesday
TRENTON - A Trenton man was shot in the back while walking through an alley in the North Ward Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The Trenton police Shooting Response Team is investigating the shooting of a 24-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to his buttocks around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 600 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
The man was walking in an ally when he heard several gunshots ring out and realized he had been hit. He fell to the ground until the shooter left, Varn said.
He then got himself to a corner store nearby, where a relative was able to get him to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, Varn said.
The man was admitted for a through-and-through gunshot wound to his buttocks, Varn said.
