Arnoldo Agreda-Rodriguez, 43, of Princeton was charged last week with making terroristic threats and simple assault after the incident two weeks ago. A woman claimed Agreda-Rodriguez beat and threatened her in a vacant house, police have said.

A judge maintained Agreda-Rodriguez's $15,000 bail at a hearing Tuesday, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors said Tuesday that Agreda-Rodriguez and the 48-year-old woman had been dating for over a year and that they had gone to a vacant house on Green Street together the night of Jan. 22.

The two had sex at the house that night until the woman asked to stop, prosecutors said.

Agreda-Rodriguez relented but continued to pressure her to have sex, according to prosecutors.

When she said no, Agreda-Rodriguez grabbed the side of her neck and said in Spanish, "This is the last time I will see your face," prosecutors said.

The woman struggled with Agreda-Rodriguez before breaking away, shattering a glass window and escaping through the open hole, prosecutors said.

The story differs from the original report in which the 48-year-old woman told police she had been assaulted by an unknown man on Witherspoon Street in Princeton that night and taken to the house on Green Street.

After further investigation, police determined that the woman had not been abducted but had gone willingly to the house, police said last week.

This story has been updated to include statements from prosecutors.
