Police released more details on an assault Friday night when they say a woman was grabbed on the street and dragged to a house but escaped.

PRINCETON - A woman who was attacked and dragged from a Princeton street Friday night escaped her attacker after fleeing from the window of a house, police said.

The woman was walking north on Witherspoon Street near Green Street around 9:45 p.m. Friday when a man came up from behind and hit her.

She was taken to a house on the 100 block of Green Street and beaten before she was able to jump from a window and escape, police said.

Historic blizzard could break records with up to 3 feet of snow likely

Police and medics responded and the woman was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where she was treated for multiple injuries, police said.

They are looking for the suspect whom police describe as a man in his 40's, wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt and a blue jacket.

Police initially released information about the assault via an alert early Saturday morning. They gave more information on the assault later the same day.

Anyone with information can call police at (609) 921-2100.
