TRENTON - A Trenton man was arrested by federal marshals and charged with assault for a domestic violence incident in September, police said Friday.
Keith Poole, 24, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on North Clinton and Poplar avenues Thursday around 3 p.m., Lt. Stephen Varn said.
Trenton police issued a warrant for Poole's arrest after a Sept. 27 incident between him and his ex-girlfriend. Police were called to Kingsbury Square apartments by the ex-girlfriend who said Poole punched her in the eye and hit her with a belt during an argument, Varn said.
The woman was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton for her injuries, Varn said.
Poole's bail was set at $15,000, according to police records.
