LAWRENCE - A 74-year-old Lawrence man was injured when his truck collided with a tractor-trailer Monday on Route 1, police said.
The Lawrence man was trying to cross Route 1 from a jughandle at Darrah Lane when his Chevy Tahoe was hit by a tractor-trailer traveling northbound on Route 1 shortly before 1 p.m. Monday. The Tahoe driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 56-year-old man from New Providence, Pa., was uninjured, Amodio said.
No summonses were issued in the crash, which is still under investigation, Amodio said.
The collision closed Route 1 for nearly two hours while crews cleaned up debris, Amodio said.
