HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP -- Two people were hospitalized New Year's Eve after their car ran off the road and hit a tree in Hopewell Township, police said.
Hopewell Township Police file photo A 2015 Volvo S80 driven by Michael Goodman, 69, of Lawrence, was traveling north on Flower Hill Lane just off of Bull Run Road when, for an unknown reason, it veered off the road, struck a sign, a fence and then a tree, police said.
The accident occurred shortly after 3 p.m.
Police are looking into whether a medical problem may have caused the low-speed crash.
Goodman and his passenger, 73-year-old Barbara Goodman, were both taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton with injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
