TRENTON - A Trenton man who skipped a court appearance on six bench warrants was caught Thursday by county and federal authorities, officials said.
Jahmel Glanton, 20, was arrested at a house on the 500 block of Hoffman Ave. and jailed for failing to appear in Superior Court on Aug. 28, according to the Mercer County Sheriff's Office.
Glanton was arrested on charges ranging from weapons offenses, assault on a police officer, drug possession, receiving stolen property and escape, officials said.
Glanton was first arrested on Nov. 13, 2013, on weapons offenses. He was jailed at the Mercer County jail, Hopewell Township before being transferred to the Albert "Bo" Robinson Assessment and Treatment Center a month later, officials said.
Glanton escaped from Bo Robinson on Dec. 17, 2013. He was caught on Jan. 11, 2014 and later released by the courts, officials said.
A search was conducted when Glanton did not appear in court on Aug. 28. He was arrested by Mercer County Sheriff's officers and U.S. Marshals without incident. Glanton is awaiting court appearance at the Mercer County jail, officials said.
