TRENTON - A Trenton man was arrested and charged in connection with a shooting earlier this month, police said Friday.
Dominick Hodges, 19, was arrested by U.S. Marshals around 10 p.m. Thursday on the first block of Chambers Street. He was charged with aggravated assault, robbery and weapons possession in connection with a Sept. 3 shooting, Lt. Stephen Varn said.
Hodges and another man approached a Trenton man on the 800 block of East State Street around 6 p.m., Varn said.
Hodges pointed a handgun at the victim and said , "give it up,'' before shooting the man two times, hitting him in the legs, and stealing cash and other property from the man, Varn said.
The shooting response team was able to gather enough evidence to implicate Hodges in the crime and a warrant was issued for his arrest, Varn said.
