Bank of America on South Broad Street in Hamilton and Beneficial Bank on Sunset Road in Burlington Township were held-up recently.
Two bank robbers held up branches in Burlington Township and Hamilton on the same day in about 37 minutes, authorities said Tuesday.
One of the robbers has been identified and is in custody.
Police are searching for the second robber and made public a picture of him in hopes the public can assist in identifying him.
Joshua E. Young, 20, of Willingboro faces robbery charges in connection with hold-ups at the Bank of America on South Broad Street in Hamilton and the attempted robbery of the Beneficial Bank on Sunset Road in Burlington Township, police said.
Burlington Township police were alerted to the Beneficial robbery at 11:47 a.m. Thursday Dec. 17, Burlington Township police said.
Hamilton police said they were called to the Bank of America at 12:24 p.m. the same day.
Young was arrested later that day in Burlington County, police said.
Hamilton police said Tuesday that Burlington Township police assisted them in linking Young to the Hamilton robbery due to his arrest in Burlington Township.
Hamilton police previously said in the Bank of America heist, only one of the men approached the teller line and handed an employee a note demanding cash.
The note also threatened the employee, but the bank employees did not see any displayed weapons, police said. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the robbers exited the bank and fled in an unknown direction.
Anyone with any information about the crime or the second robber is asked to contact Hamilton Detective Joseph Ialacci at 609-689-5822 or the Hamilton police crime tipline at 609-581-4008.
